A Closer Look at Native Instruments’ Alicia’s Keys

The newest music software from Native Instrument is about to change the entire computer audio and music software landscape, holding soul and R&B at perfect balance.

Developed side by side with the Grammy-winning artist Alicia Keys, Native Instruments’ Alicia’s Keys Piano brings Alicia Key’s very own music within reach. This software recreates Key’s signature Yamaha C3 Neo grand piano. The music software is a joint project shared by the renowned keyboard software developer Thomas Scarbee and Alicia Keys herself. And within two years, Native Instrument successfully captured that unique Alicia Keys sound with its latest equipments and hard work.

This new musical software makes use of only the finest vintage microphones and high-end studio gear, making this new sampled grand more than just you everyday piano. But despite that, it has several strong features as well as a great tone with everything at a very affordable price.

What piano sounds in Garageband are the most authentic?

My friend is producing a single for me, and one of the tracks uses mostly synthetic instruments through Garageband. We recorded the piano in "Piano On Stage", but listening back, this sounds way too electric. Normally I record with a Technics KN-550 – which has about the best piano sound of any keyboard I’ve ever played. Does anyone have any suggestions of a great, authentic piano sound for Garageband?
